I need help from some of the more tech-savvy Oppos... I’m 34 going on 72, so I’m pretty clueless.
I bought a GoPro, and I want to make some cool (probably pretty mediocre) car videos. I can talk cars and tech for days, but when it comes to editing those videos down into something remotely watchable, I’m lost.
Can Oppo give some pointers and recommend a free/cheap/affordable/user-friendly editing program? Or should I just accept that the internet is filled with wannabe YouTube stars and no one cares about Studebakers or crappy old Jeeps and take up something more grandpa friendly like whittling?

For a while “Windows Movie Maker” was offered as a free download from Microsoft and it was surprisingly OK. Not Earth shattering, but capable with some decent canned graphics and transitions. Now I think that has all be integrated into... Photos [citation needed] with Win 10, if you’re running that, but I haven’t messed with that version much.

I bought Adobe elements it’s kick ass comes with photo shop and a video editor. Take a bit to learn but there are a million useful YouTube how too vids. It’s pretty powerful for the price and you get 2 copies so you can split the cost with someone or put it on multiple devices. Think I spent 59 it was totally worth it use it all the time for family videos and drone stuff.

I’m no editing guru, but what I’ve used most recently is OpenShot: https://www.openshot.org/ which is a free and open source editing package that seems decently powerful, though a few things about it were a little kludgy.

I used to say Vegas, but I remember it being affordable. That openshot thing looks pretty good.

I just downloaded it and played around with it a bit. I can see a touch of kludginess, but overall I’m pretty impressed. Thanks for the recommendation!
